- On that first page, change the language to English (‘Anglais’) at the bottom. (This is important because, if your browser translates it to English instead, it causes issues because you won’t find the UK in the drop-down list of countries).
- Choose ‘Create your account’, then ‘A manual input’.
- Choose ‘Individual / sole trader’.

‘Birth name’ is for your surname, and ‘First name’ is for your first name. Fill these fields in.

Choose ‘United Kingdom’ from the Native Country drop-down. Choose ‘United Kingdom’ from the ‘Nationality’ drop-down. Choose ‘United Kingdom’ from the address drop-down. (If you can’t find these, it is because you have the language set to French. Go back to step 1).

Leave ‘Identification Number’ and ‘Trading Name’ blank. Leave ‘Territorial division’ blank too.

Submit the page, you will get an email, click the link in the email and set your password.

Press ‘Menu’ and ‘My operator activity’.

Under the heading ‘UAS operator registered in France’ press ‘Register’.

Tick both of the declarations (‘I declare that the operator named above is not already registered as a UAS operator in another EASA Member State.’ and ‘I declare that France is the first EASA Member State in which the operator named above intends to operate.’). You must tick these to proceed

Press ‘Register’.
You will then see a green message saying that you have been assigned an EU Operator ID and you will be asked to sign up for the newsletter. Press Cancel on the newsletter box.
You will receive an email, in French, which says that you have been assigned an operator ID and it is visible under ‘My Operator Activity’ in your account.
- Log back in to your account and press ‘Menu’ and then ‘My operator activity’. You can then see your EU operator ID.
- Press ‘Download a statement of situation’ to download a PDF showing your operator ID and registration details.
