Please support this discussion/s my questions are purely for a bit of fun and to get everyone thinking and sharing their views.
Q2: Could you trust AI to fly your drone completely autonomously?
Imagine telling your drone: “Go and find and take the best picture, then come back.”
Would you trust it to do everything by itself, or would you always want a pilot in control?
Of course, this assumes your drone is being flown within line of sight and in accordance with the relevant rules and regulations.
What do you think? Would you let AI take full control, or would you still want the final say? 
Full automation is of no interest, really.
Part of the fun of flying is the freedom to explore and find photos myself.
I don’t mind AI being used in the image pipeline, such as compression, de-noising or sharpening. And I don’t mind it enhancing the flying experience, such as obstacle avoidance, but I’d still like my drone to go full manual.
The idea of small drones going into a fully autonomous cruise mode is intriguing but I think that’s for drones that actually have serious range, and those are not available in the consumer space or have the necessary legal framework to fly autonomously.
But since instant photography always find a market, I could imagine a small drone that just needs a safe takeoff and landing space, and would launch itself and take a range of snaps and footage of the immediate area.

I think its pretty inevitable. Great for some uses, but not much fun for others!
