Hi
I live in Stafford ,I have just got a DJI 4K drone . looking for some where to fly.
I have flown RC models in the past but never a drone.
A lot of restrictions these days a lot more guidelines and no go areas ,bye laws etc.
Any advice on local safe flying areas would be welcome .
I very nearly gave up after reading all the local bye laws etc .

I am far far from an expert, very new to this myself, if you have not downloaded the “The Drone Map” from this very site FVP UK, then that is a must.
Obviously it depends on the drone you have sub 249 etc, but that map tells you where you can’t fly, so if location is on, open the app and unless you are in a no fly zone or otherwise restricted you are pretty much good to go.
However, find an open field to get used to it first, they can be very easy to crash…..erm so I am told?
