Is a tiny whoop worth it?

I’ve already got a 5” quad which i’ve briefly flown but I’m thinking of also buying a tiny whoop (Air75) with some 1s batteries. I think it would help me practice some skills better than a sim as well being great fun and allowing me to fly indoors as colder weather comes about. However ,I’m not sure how different it’ll fly compared to a 5” and if skills are transferable. What do you all think?

All transferable. Be prepared for a loss of power though. It’s great chucking a little whoop around where the 5" isn’t allowed out to play

Alright thank you, does the betafpv air 75 sound like a good choice? I’ve heard you can bind your controller to switch between rates and throttle limits for going indoor and outdoor because the air75 supposedly has quite a bit of power compared to other tiny whoops.

Hi Rusty,
What camera and transmission system does your 5" quad use?
That will help to work out if the Air 75 will be compatible with your current setup.

Good shout @GVG_Air . There’s loads of options out there.

I use analog, i’m 90% sure they’ll be compatible.

I’m only seeing it in an ELRS version on the BetaFPV website. As long as your current gear uses that protocol you’re good to go.

The advantage to a tiny whoop is that you can fly it pretty much anywhere. Compared to a lawnmower of a 5", they’re far safer, which opens up opportunities to fly that you’d otherwise miss.
