I finally decided to take flying seriously and got myself an Avata 2 for FPV and a Mini 5 Pro for photography. Looking forward to being an active part of the community and glad I found FPVuk.

Where in Cheshire are you? I’m happy to meet up. I live in Frodsham and fly an Avata2, Mini 4 Pro, and Neo.
Middlewich here. Would be great to have people nearby to fly with. Do you know if there is a club also?
There is a model aircraft club in Frodsham, but I don’t know about any drone clubs or even if they exist. Maybe we could start one.
@paulsflanagan A warm welcome to drone Hub ![]()
Great idea. I spotted you had another thread with some other Northern FPV members. Would be great to group up and make a club.
Welcome to drone hub.
Welcome to the forum.
Howdy Paul.

Welcome.
Let me know what you think of the FPV, I have never tried it and don’t know it I should?
FPV is a lot of fun and totally different from flying a stabilised drone. It’s a very steep learning curve. The Avata2 and 360, due to their weight, are limited to where you can fly, and you need a spotter with you at all times except when you’re in the middle of nowhere. My Mini 4 Pro gets flown much more often because of fewer restrictions.
It looks like fun, have to decide if I can justify getting a decent FPV drone.
Apparently there is such a thing as owning too many drones…. And it doesn’t seem to matter if I point out she is not an expert, especially as she would most likely be my spotter as although it does not specifically state in the CAA rules that your spotter cannot be your dog (mans best friend after all) it pretty much implies they must be human. ![]()
