Advice on drones

What are people’s views on moving from a DJI 4 mini onto to a DJI Mavic 3 or 4 , difference in flying etc
Also what apps / website do you use to edit , put short videos into one video , I’m guessing it can’t be done via the DJI app ?

Good morning, I have both, the mini 5 and the Mavic 4 pro. As far as the actual flying goes you can use the same controller for both and they fly pretty much the same. Bigger and faster for the Mavic and more stable in the wind as you would expect.
But the bigger issue is the weight and therefore the places you can fly them. You may want to look at the A2 COC for the Mavic for example and article 16 etc. even so you can’t fly the Mavic from your back garden unless you live remotely with no other houses.

As for the editing, yes you can do it on the Dji fly app or in loads of other free apps, LightCut is good on my iPhone and iPad. Although I am no professional!

Thank you for the information, I do have A2 certification and aware of the area/use limitations of the heavier Mavic , I feel the extra battery life of a mavic will be useful on top of a few other camera functions On a side note are the pro series of the mini’s much better then the Mini 4K.

The mini 5 Pro was my first drone so I can’t comment on that one. The lenses on the Mavic are outstanding though. There is a new Dji drone on the horizon which has been dubbed the Mini 5 killer as it has a similar camera set up but is cheaper to buy. I may as well just set up a direct debit for my wages to Dji to cut out the middle man!

I’ve just had a look , seems the new drone could be called Lito , explains what all the “ just fly “ emails must be about that I been taking no notice of.
Might be worth waiting and seeing then , and of course praying it don’t tickle my fancy, purely for my wallets health !
