Hi all, just got my first drone; a DJI mini 4 Pro.
Completely new to drones, but years of Xbox seems to make it feel like home on the controls, especially on configuration 3!
Anyhow, Preston based, not really sure where to head with it ATM. I’ve mostly just been flying from my front garden (there’s a field with about 400m of free space straight across the road!
I just wanted a new hobby that would get me out of the house a bit more of an evening…

Any tips on best settings to use?

Am only a few flying hours into the hobby so no great expert.
The default settings are mostly fine.
I think the only things I double ckecked where:
Obsticle Avoidance - Bypass
Lost Signal - RTH
Camera 4:3 and JPEG ( RAW if you want to edit and tweak them later)
Resolution 12Mp is fine for most things and small. 48 if you want more detail
Gridlines - Optional, up to you
Video coding H.264 is more common but bigger files. Might want to use other options as you gain experience but 264 you can plonk on anything and it will play pretty much.
No doubt someone will come along with much better explanations and setting choices… As I said am fairly new myself.

@Westbury no that’s great, thank you… I’ll take a look at my settings later today to compare what they’re currently at and maybe tweak them… I remember I did switch to bypass for the collision but other than that I’m not sure what this are set to without looking
