Congratulations on taking the plunge and getting your first drone. You’re about to start a fantastic hobby with plenty to learn and enjoy. Hopefully the weather plays ball for you, but in the meantime there’s loads of helpful advice and experienced pilots here if you have any questions.

Enjoy the journey, fly safe, and don’t forget to share some photos and videos from your first flights!

Hi Andy, welcome to the world of Drones. I am only a couple of miles away in Gamlingay. I run a Mini Pro 5, small but adequate.

Cheers

Hi Andy,

Well I am not aware of any clubs or meets in this area, I have a bit of an issue here as there is an FRZ from Little Gransden Airfield that covers most of Gamlingay. I, like you are looking for somewhere to be able to fly regularly. If I find anywhere I’ll let you know. I t guest the alternative is to go up to Little Gransden and ask if I can fly on their airfield, then there is minimal risk to all parties. I have portable radio that covers all necessary frequencies, Amateur Radio is also my main hobby.

cheers for now

Thanks Malcolm. there does seem to be a lot of restricted space. yellow is normally ok’ish though?

We went to Great Barford on Sunday. took some video and stitched it together.

It’s a bit basic and a bit long but it was fun.
