Will has been flying drones both commercially, specialising in film and cinematic work, and recreationally since 2019. He began with DJI camera drones, including the Mavic 2 Zoom and Mini 3 Pro, and has held an A2 CofC for around five to six years. He currently flies a DJI Air 3S and Mini 5 Pro.
Around three years ago, Will discovered FPV flying with the DJI Avata 2, which quickly developed into a real passion. Since then, he has learnt to fly confidently in Manual/Acro mode and now flies a range of FPV aircraft including the BetaFPV Pavo20 Pro, GEPRC Cinelog30 V3, Cinelog35 V3 and Deepspace Seeker5.
Will has a strong understanding of current drone rules and regulations and is an active contributor to several Facebook drone communities. He particularly enjoys helping other pilots navigate what can initially seem like a complicated world, from understanding the regulations and how drones work through to developing their flying skills.
With his background in film and cinematic flying, Will is also keen to help pilots get more from their camera systems, understand their settings and ultimately capture better footage.
Based in Worthing, West Sussex, Will is enthusiastic about sharing his experience and supporting other drone pilots as they develop their knowledge, confidence and flying skills.
