I am 50-year-old and live in a quaint village called Altofts near Wakefield, West Yorkshire. I am a self-employed professional photographer with an impressive career spanning over 14 years. My journey into the world of unmanned aerial drones began as a hobbyist 12 years ago, which later evolved into a thriving commercial venture, offering drone services for photography and video shoots over the past two years.
My passion for flying drones started with a non-branded, inexpensive GPS drone, which quickly grew as I discovered the joys of capturing personal photos and videos from unique aerial perspectives. My turning point came when a friend requested some drone photography for their wedding, capturing stunning shots of the bride, groom, and guests from above. This experience led myself to offer drone photography and videography services as part of my professional repertoire, enhancing my offerings and allowing me to combine my love for photography with my passion for drone flying.
As a highly experienced photographer and drone operator, I demonstrate an unwavering commitment to safety, professionalism, and adherence to regulations. I am a CAA-registered flyer and operator and have successfully obtained the A2 Certificate of Competency (CofC) through UAVHUB. This achievement highlights my dedication to maintaining high standards in all aspects of my work.
With a versatile fleet of DJI drones, including the Mini 4 Pro, Neo, Air 2S, and Mini 5 Pro, I have maintained an impeccable safety record, having never experienced a crash or equipment failure. My diligent planning and attention to detail when operating drones have contributed to my remarkable track record.
Utilising essential tools like Drone Assist until recently, I’ve ensured that each flight is conducted with utmost responsibility and a comprehensive understanding of the surroundings. By integrating drones into my photography business, I consistently deliver captivating aerial imagery that combines technical expertise with creative flair.
As an active member of the FPV UK community for 1.5 years, my enthusiasm for drones and unwavering commitment to safe and proficient flying make me a highly valuable mentor and examiner and inspire other fellow drone enthusiasts.
I look forward to continue supporting FPVUK as a member, mentor and examiner. I like to help people and pass on my knowledge and experience to other fliers and members. Please feel free to get in touch to ask any questions or find me on the FPVUK map if you’d like to get in contact for any help or book an FPVUK cofc. All the best and happy flying
