New Member Rotherham

Hi all, I am a new member to Drone Club based in Rotherham.
I have had a Mini 2 for just over 5 years and have just treated myslf to a Mini 4 Pro, so looking forward to getting out there and capturing some interesting pictures and videos.
I have done photography for about 20 years so hopefully that comes in usefull, I just need to concentrate on my Lefts/Right Up/Downs Forward/Reverse lol

Welcome welcome!

Sounds like the FPV UK CofC Practical would be useful to you. It’s totally free.

Heyup fella,

Sheffield here. Less of a camera drone pilot though, more an FPV freestyle wannabe.

The only way to get better is practice. I’d usually recommend a good simulator like Velocidrone, but I have no idea where to start with DJI camera gear

Same here, new to drone hub and from Rotherham. Been flying for 4 years, some great subjects to film & photograph in and around the borough of Rotherham.

Hello, I’m based in Rotherham if you’re stuck for a brilliant place to practice with wide open space perfect for recovering without crashing let me know yo can join us. At present there’s three of us that fly at this location local people that live in the area are very friendly and accepting of us. Its mainly dog walkers runners and people just walking no kids accept with their parents no ball games allowed and no cycling allowed. We always meet up there on a Sunday morning at 10:00 hours and fly till the batteries are dead and a good chin wagg about drones. Oh there’s also benches to sit on whilst you fly just bring a drink with you like us and you are sorted. It’s Keppels Colunm on Admirals Crest. We’re going up there this coming Sunday the 23rd at 10:00 hours. I will be flying my brand new Potensic Atom 3 for its first ever flight outside in open space I’m really looking forward to it.
