I’m totally new to the hobby, and got interested in flying drones mostly to take extra shots from above when hiking and cycling in my free time. I have a DJI Neo 2 and have done a couple of flights so far.
I’m a bit by-the-book/risk-averse person, and when CAA flying guidelines seem quite straightforward, I’m a bit discouraged by the bylaws and the grey area around takeoff and landing.
Could you please share your approach to choosing the right place and recommend some safe, scenic spots for flying the drone in Kent, ideally near Ashford? Or give me a heads up on locations I should definitely avoid?
I just want to have as much out of a good experience as I can, without the need for having awkward situations or being challenged more than necessary. After all, life itself gives us a fair share of that, and hobbies should give us more joy than anxiety.
