Hi there, my name is Stuart Robertson, 46yrs old, from Ayrshire - Scotland. Just purchased my very first DJI mini 3 drone and very new to this. I just wanted to introduce myself and say hi. I’m really excited and nervous at the same time as complete new experience to me so any tips or guidance would be most appreciated. Welcome to the forum, relatively new to drones myself. The modern ones practically fly themselves you just point them where you want them to go ! So don’t worry too much

Hiya thanks for ur message. I got it from Argos as i work for Sainsburys so got some discount. I’ve not opened it yet as thinking maybe should I go for the mini 4 pro too as seems to have obstacle sensors which would be a safe guard for me. I would hate to crash it… what do u think ?

Many thanks, really looking forward to this new experience and meeting new friends. Im currently looking at tons of you tube videos. I live in Monkton near Prestwick airport so have some flight restrictons around where I live. Whats the best kind of app does everyone have. I have downloaded drone buddy and drone assist.

Hi Stuart, and welcome. I too am a new user although I got my first drone, a Mini 2 Se nearly 2 years ago. I recently added a Mini 4 pro with the intention of flying more. Haven’t done so In the past couple of weeks as my partner has just had surgery. I am still very nervous and I guess when I read about people who have crashed their drones it freaks me out a little more. But I hope to overcome my worrying and learn to fly better.

Hi Stuart. I’m sorry only just read your post properly. I was after a Mini 3 from Argos too but they didn’t have one in that day and the Mini 4 pro in store that day. So I got the 4 and I’m glad I did!
