New Member from Birmingham

Hi Fellow Flyers…

My name is Alan and live in Birmingham

I’m a new member… I have a new Mini 4K. I previously had, and sold a couple of years ago, a Mini 2 (regretted it) but got a 4K for a really good price recently. I used the Mini 2 mainly to get access to a different photo site or angles but flying was a means to the end… With the new 4K I’m actually getting some skills and enjoying that part now as well.

I must admit to being enticed by the insurance and deals on AC or C certification… there are few on offer here as members, at £49, and would welcome any feedback on which has good resources for learning, pre-exam.

anyway… looking forward to participating in the forums

Hi Alan, Im located in the Cradley Heath and have just got my mini 5 pro. It’s amazing and I’ve been going all over YouTube looking at as many videos as I can

Whereabouts are you located in Birmingham?

Also, why do you want to have a AC license? Is there something you can do with it that you normally can’t?

Look forward to hearing from you

Hi Alan, I am also new here and a newbie drone flyer and also live near Bournvile in Birmingham.
Although I am new to the hobby I investigate deeply, your Mini 5 ,I believe is a sub 250g drone that you can fly in the A1/A3 category providing you have your operator and flyers I’d.
At this weight the A2 has no advantage apart from gaining extra knowledge & to be fair that is always a good thing but not necessary in order to enjoy your drone.

If I have any of this wrong then can someone please let me know.

That’s true.

The A2 CofC gives you nothing further for a drone that can already be flown in A1.
