Good morning everyone, newbie here have been flying RC for a few years gliding fixed wing, helicopter’s, but only just started flying drones this last year, great fun apart from the new rules that came in this year, I now fly a Holystone HS600D, great little flyer, I have been retired for about 8 year’s now, so this hobby gets me out, I live in sunny west Wiltshire so always looking forward to flying in different places.
Welcome to the forum, a pretty helpful and friendly crew here.
Thank you, I actually live in Trowbridge have been flying over at the white horse a little while ago.
@Gaz1 Welcome to Drone Hub ![]()
Hi and welcome, I started flying my drone flying hobby with a Holy Stone HS175D, nice piece of kit to start with but soon moved onto a DJI Mini 3
Thanks Drone dad .
Thought I would practice on a cheaper drone first then if I like it move up a gear.
Welcome to the group. I live in Westbury and fly in a helicopter/drone club in Hilperton village hall on Friday nights. Open to everyone and very informal, starts at 7pm if you’re interested.
That sounds interesting, it’s a little trek for me. What’s it like and how much space?
Sorry for the slow reply. The club meets on a Friday night from 7pm in Hilperton village hall off Whadden Lane. It is very informal with about ten or so members. The hall is a reasonable size for indoor flying and there is a large outside area for the larger stuff weather and club activities depending. The subs are £2 per session and there is also a clubhouse attached so cheap booze too if needed. Operates all year round unless there is a function in the hall. Be good to see you there.
