New FPVUK member

I have returned to flying after 5 years and have two drones, an Inspire 1, which is an absolute beast compared with my new Mini 4 Pro.

1, My question is can I use the same flyer ID on both drones?

2, Can I use both drones to take pictures and sell them. I have FPVUKs Public liability and commercial insurance which is standard. Does the commercial insurance mean I can take a picture of a bridge or tree and sell it. I’ve not sat the commercial pilots course

Hi Kenz

Our handbook answers these questions at handbook.fpv.uk

  1. Yes. Your flyer ID is your proof of competency. It applies to you, not any particular drone. You can fly any drone you like (up to 25kg).

You also need an operator ID, which is proof of registration. These cost £12.34 per year and you must display your operator ID on all of your drones.

  1. Yes. The commercial cover which is included with membership is ideal for that.
