David is an experienced drone operator with around 10 years of flying experience across a range of platforms. His background includes operating the Typhoon H 6-rotor system (2016–2022), followed by more recent DJI aircraft including the Air 2S (2023–present), Air 3 (2024–present), and Mavic 4 Pro (2025–present).
He is a member of the Scottish Aeromodellers Association (SAA), where he has achieved the Bronze Award for multirotor competence, demonstrating a recognised standard of flying ability. He is also an active member of the Hamilton Model Flying Club (HMFC) in Lanarkshire, Scotland.
In addition to his UK credentials, he holds a European DMARES licence registered in Cyprus and successfully obtained his A2 Certificate of Competency (A2 CofC) in December 2025 through Coptrz.
While he travels across the UK and Europe with his drones, his availability for mentoring or examinations is primarily focused on Central Scotland, covering areas between Stirling, Moffat, Ayr, and Edinburgh.
