Hi, bought my first DJI in March (had a holystone prior but it was such a lot of faffing about, whereas the dji is just switch it on and go!). Unfortunately I live just a few miles from a small airport so ad hoc flights around the garden are out of the question .
But , quick car journey up the road and theres plenty of space, looking forward to beach flights!

Airports must not ‘unreasonably withhold’ permission to fly in an FRZ. So you could potentially get permission to fly in your garden, particularly if you’re not inline with the runway/s.
Ah the old HolyStone yeah I made that mistake initially my first foray into the world of drones was an HS175 that on its first flight decided it was off away on its own immediately after take fortunately didn’t go too far before deciding to stop & hover over over the local tennis courts from then it was just a waiting game until it ran out juice & landed. After that I got what I should have bought the DJI Mavic mini 2 & 7K later the rest is history !
