Hi, I’m about to be newbie to drones, looking at my first purchase. I am looking at The DJI Mini Pro 5 with standard flight batteries but am concerned about reports of its weight and not being sub 250g. Ial After some advice would I be okay with this or should I opt for Lito x1. I will only ever fly in the UK and mainly use in holidays and around home and occasional work use with client permissions in place.
Any advice? I already have my Flyer and Operator ID.
I’m not 100% on this but it is only slightly over on most models sold. (Maybe 1-1.5g), but it is still recognised as a C0 due to its class mark being C0.
Basically don’t upgrade to the larger battery or go adding strobes / stickers to it and you should be fine.
Although, I’m still new to the drone scene myself, so maybe someone with more knowledge might give better advice, but that’s my understanding of it.
(I’m from the UK)
Also as it’s over 100g and has a camera - make sure you have your Flyer ID and Operator ID.
If you travel abroad visit AlphaTango for your EU Operator ID.
DJI Care Refresh for crashes and flyaways / FPV Membership for liability insurance.
