We have a new Examiner/Mentor on our FPV UK Map
An aircraft design engineer by profession, Charles brings a wealth of aviation knowledge and experience, having spent many years involved in the restoration of wartime and pre-war aircraft, including his current work on a Lancaster Bomber.
Charles’s passion for remote-controlled aircraft dates back to the 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s, when he regularly flew fixed-wing models and helicopters, a hobby he hopes to return to in the future. His drone flying experience began with the introduction of the DJI Phantom 1, and he has since developed a particular interest in aerial photography and surveying.
His current drone fleet includes the DJI Neo 2, Mini 5 Pro and Mavic 3 Pro, giving him experience across a range of modern camera drones.
Having previously held the CAA PfCO and GVC qualifications, Charles is currently in the process of renewing his A2 CofC certification. With his extensive background in aviation engineering, traditional model aircraft and modern drone technology, he brings a valuable combination of technical knowledge and practical flying experience to the FPV UK community.
