Lidar - heads-up re damage of camera sensors

Hi all, not wanting to scaremonger or have a click bait headline !
The story below might well apply to the latest drones, especially with the mini 5 pro arriving at some peeople’s door over the next few days and weeks.

TL;DR
Volvo have said in a statement
It’s generally advised to avoid pointing a camera directly at a lidar sensor. The laser light emitted by the lidar can potentially damage the camera’s sensor or affect its performance," the statement read.

That is very interesting, however I would think the ouput level from a drone lidar will be much lower than that from a car and less likely to cause any damage (hopefully)

Good point but happy that I’ve let people know, and make up their own minds.
The article also says that the closer you get, the more concentration there is. So it’s probably true of drones. Guessing there will be a few people that are going to be posting pictures of it hovering in the garden with its one inch sensor.
Plus the only is one lidar at the front - the other one is a blank plate!
