This is quite a specific thing about how the Chinese government sees Beijing.
I was there a few months ago - they ban all sorts in their capital for all sorts of reasons. Motorbikes for example are banned within the inner ring road!
Drones are seen as a cultural and power threat that they don’t want to risk in the capital.
Thankfully I don’t see that “flying” in a democracy.
