A while ago I flew my 5” for the first time and the video feed was very choppy causing me to have a bit of a crash landing. After research it was likely because I was accidentally looking straight down with the goggles but I don’t know if it was that or if it was in fact just a fried VTX. Another reason for this was that there was no warning saying that I had to screw in the antenna before powering the drone so I left it powered for a minute (while on super low power). Everything seems fine with the VTX, normal temperatures, seems to work as normal.
If it is working fine, it probably is fine. If you were looking straight down through your Google’s that would certainly explain a crash.
Yea, I did some further testing and i’m very glad to see that my VTX seems safe, thank you Joshua Bardwell for telling me to turn on low power VTX until first arm
