Hiya marcsB i am all new to this lol. I have my flyer ID and Operator ID and I have the Drone map on my phone. is there anything else I need? I keep hearing something about a Remote ID? is this some thing I need before I can fly?

Legal requirements for Remote ID

You must enable Remote ID on your drone or model aircraft by either 1 January 2026 or 1 January 2028, depending on the class of your drone or model aircraft and the category you’re operating in. You must have Remote ID switched on whenever you fly from the applicable date onwards.

  • 1 January 2026: Active Remote ID is required for new drones with UK1, UK2, UK3, UK5, and UK6 class marks.

  • 1 January 2028: Remote ID becomes mandatory for legacy drones, UK0 drones, model aircraft (UK4), and self-built drones weighing 100g or more with a camera

yes just a test fly lol camera is great and it was easy to fly… raining today so I am hoping it will stop this afternoon
