I would love to see our members getting together and flying / socialising.
Men’s mental health is an important topic, and what could be better for your mental health than getting outside, with some like-minded members and flying your drones together?
First one to send me a photo of at least 3 members outside, together, with their drones get’s a baseball cap, FPV UK sticker, FPV UK car sticker, FPV UK armband, and FPV UK lanyard each through the post!
@SimonDale Sounds a great idea simon
Any members want to meet up sometime soon i am in west Sussex and welcome meeting up with any other members, Clearly when we have a bit more better weather
Aww man, I can’t get out until the weekend (and there’ll only be two of us) so not really in the game, but this is a great idea @SimonDale ! Looking forward to seeing folks get together and grab some sweet FPVUK swag!
Great idea Simon as men’s mental health tends to slip under the carpet a bit. I have supported the Men’s Shed scheme where men can get together to chat and make things together often to support local needs.
Thoroughly agree with supporting mens mental health and fully agree that flying is a great way to get together and aupport each other. This is a pic from DIF25 which was a great day out. DIF26 is going to be even bigger and its free to come. Have a fly meet other like minded folk and have a great cpuple of days. Check out https://www.drone-if.co.uk/ for more info.
Yes bring your drone. You obviously have to have insurance, but thats covered by the FPVUK membership… Other than that, youll get a peg on the day and you use a peg board to register your use of a flight pad. All explained in the pilots briefing on the day. Its a great day, now two days, with lots more planned for this year. Including we hope a light show demo on Fri evening too…
That sounds like a great time. It’s currently a long way to come from Germany but we’re moving back to the UK this year so I may well sign up for that next year.
