Flying on the River Thames

If I am in unrestricted airspace on the River Thames using a DJI MIni Pro 5. Are there any enforcable conditions to this from the Port of London Autority or are their stipulations just guidelines. I have seen may drones launched & landed from private vessels. I use the Thames on my boat frequently and know that certain areas are restricted, such as Tower Bridge inbound and around Canery Wharf ares’s

Depends where you are.
Have you checked our drone map?

Yes, i alwsys check Dronemap and understand the flight restrictions. I heard that PLA dont allow drone flights. I have a mini pro 5 amd curious if anyone has experiences on the Thames. Thete seems to be a mix of yes and no’s. Just trying interpretate

During a shoot I did on the Golden Hinde a few years ago the drone op found that he was unable to take off. That implies that the large NFZ around Buckingham Palace is enforced with jamming, which is to be expected in large capitals.
However takeoffs from downstream from Tower bridge are commonplace.

Thats what thought, didnt know if the PLA had other issies for flyers, i will take off n land from my boat. Have seen others do it to, but like to see whT opinions are…thankyou

Do you know how far upstream you can navigate on the Thames? I’ve seen boats as far as Eton.

We travel the Thames from the estuary, so far we have gone to Teddington. We launch at at Poplar Rowing Club, which is opposite Greenwich
