Hi all, I’m wanting to film some footage at my work of what we do, our neighbours are a data centre and get very twitchy about drones near them. I just want to clarify I’m not doing anything wrong flying around my work in VLOS, it is in the Gatwick CTR but that shouldn’t affect me with a mini5pro.
Airports, prisons and military sites often have flight restrictions in place. I’ve never heard of a data centre having a flight restriction.
CTRs don’t affect drones either, as you said. Are you outside of the Gatwick FRZ?

Thank you Simon, I haven’t spoken to them yet but have been told when we paid for some drone filming to be done a few years back that the data centre was being difficult so just wanted to make sure my understanding was correct before being confronted.
I have no interest in what is on their site anyway.
ould approach them and let them know, to make it offical register the flight beforehand, you are not asking for permission but letting them know asa good neighbour to address any concerns that they have. Ask them if, at the same time they would like footage that they can use for advertising etc?
