Drone rules changes coming in 2026 and a again 2028

What do people think about the new rules coming 2026. One minute I see deregulation and then I see stupidity. We can fly the Mavic 3s under the new rules then after two years we’re regulated to the A3 category far from people. So one day the drone is ok then it not. Anyway where am I getting this information from. Ian from London’s new video. Another good point that he makes is that it seems like every few years the rules change. How are the public supposed to keep up with this let alone anybody else. We have a change coming again at the end of 2027 to UK C class labels. Anyway here is his video and I was wandering what others for about this. Is the rules good or not. Is anything going to change with article 16 as well?

I think some of the final form of the legislation and guidance is still evolving. Dec 27 is still a good while away.

So not really concerned and trust in the various governing bodies for drones. model aircraft etc to keep plugging at the CAA to achieve an acceptable outcome.

They have just released another consultation from the CAA direct and here it is. Just click the cap3120 and cap3121. Even the A2 cofc is in the second one.

Article 16 will be renewed as normal. Including a little enhancement I’ve been pushing for for more than 3 years.

Nice. I can’t wait to hear about it.:+1:

Personally, 20m of free space would be lovely. It’s never going to happen but I can dream.
