Yesterday I took delivery of a very nice DJI Mini 5 pro and being the stickler as I am I weighed it and it came in at 255g. Now I know that DJI claim it’s 249 +/- 4 grams but 5 grams over seems quite excessive.
I’m a GVC holder which makes things a little easier, but what’s people’s thoughts? Should I return it?

The CAA are aware of the mini 5 being overweight, mine’s 253g
From the 1st Jan 2026 drones are placed under a class system rather than weight, A DJI Mini 5 pro is classed as a C0/UK0 drone.

Thanks both, if I’m honest I wouldn’t return it anyway, but I’m staggered that manufacturing can introduce such a large weight difference between each item. I suppose mine must be well soldered!
