DJI mini 4pro wind speed

I am starting to fly a DJI mini4 pro, and am curious to know what wind speds it will fly in. I know the specs say 10ms, but how accurate is that, and does anyone have experiecnce of flying in higher speeds? I live in Cornwall so wind is often an issue.
Many thanks
Jeremy

Wind speed is one thing, gusts is another completely! While a craft could handle the wind at a given speed, a gust of the same speed is likely to be more disruptive.

No-one can tell you when it is safe to fly, you have to make a call on the day, taking into account, how you feel about flying in the wind of the day, your experience etc.

That goes for the Mini 4 Pro or any other craft from all manufacturers. The pilot has final responsibility for the decsions he or she makes, that includes but is not limited to, flying in the wind, locations etc…

This is a question that comes up regularly for various craft, the answer is the same, the manual tells you the maximum in ideal conditions, in reality, each craft is different each day or even each time you prepare to fly, decide at the time. Try if it is safe to do so, if you don’t feel happy land and fly another time.

Remember the wind is likely to be stronger and more gusty as you gain altitude.

Better to abort and live to fly another day than fly>crash>damage>fix>high cost!

Fly>experience>enjoy>have fun>repeat!

I suggest you download a weather app onto your mobile that gives maximum gust speeds. There several available but I use Metcheck. If you are in any doubt as to whether you should fly I would recommend caution.

Gusts can catch you unawares. Last year about this time I was flying my DJI Flip, a sub-250g drone. It is also not very aerodynamic. It was doing fine in normal conditions but then a very strong gust came along and blew it a couple of hundred yards to the other side of the field. Fortunately, I was in a large open area with no obstructions and, once the gust subsided, it returned to home with no problems. If there had been a tree or similar in the way I could well have lost it. Since this event (and doing my A2 Certificate of Competence) I am now far more aware.

Hi all hope everyone is having a nice easter?,
Yes if i may the weather app is is a great little tool to have for checking wind speed but also so true what steve is saying about gusts of wind, i live on the coast so know first hand how wind conditions can change,
I also as well as the app purchased a digital anemometer, that gives me a good indication what the wind conditions are were i am flying however again as steve mentioned the higher you fly the more windy it may be
Hope this helps
