Class Marks : What happens on 1st Jan 2028>

Reading on the CAA website, I understand that my Class 0 Mini 5 Pro can fly as if it was labelled as the new Class UK0. But it seems to imply that I can only do this until the end of 2027.

It’s probably a mute point, as I’m unlikely to have the Mini 5 Pro by that date, but I am interest know what would happen…

European C class marks
If your drone or model aircraft has a C class mark on it, the manufacturer has declared that it meets the European class standards.

Until 31 December 2027, you can fly a C class aircraft as if it is the corresponding UK class. For example, you can fly a C1 class drone as if it is a UK1 class drone.

There is nothing to stop DJI self-certifying that drone as UK0.

The requirements are identical, so if it complies with C0 then it complies with UK0.

Therefore, I would expect DJI will do so.
