Can we have a buddy category in the forum and maybe on fpvuk.org?

I fly FPV with goggles and I would love to have a category where I can arrange to meet with other flyers so that we can meet up to fly and act as each others observer. I think a lot of folks find it hard to coerce family members into the role so don’t bother to fly. Beyond that could we have the chance to add to our profile that we are willing to be contacted to fly together? For anyone interested I live in North London and would be happy to meet to fly anyone looking for an observer. We have a community so let’s help each other? @admins If this function already exists that is great but if not how can we do this on the site? To me the path of least resistance would be a category called say, find a flying buddy, where We can post looking for a flying buddy.#, What do you think?

I agree. Brilliant idea
I think an app would be great, but thats maybe a laater step after some initial proof fthat there is demand and that a system can work.
Perhaps we can approach existing app developer to extend existing app with a new “sport/activity” called “FPV observer” or suchlike.

Other apps exist.

We do have our member map at https://fpvracingworld.com/

You can list yourself as an interested flyer and then people can contact you. And you can contact other interested flyers in your area.

We could also potentially add a similiar feature to the the FPV UK Map - which shows within your FPV UK account. (At the moment that shows examiners, mentors and your own flight log pins - we could potentially add other willing members to it in the future too).
