I’d been contemplating on a field charger for far too long but finally bit the bullet.
The new Dji 1000 Min.

Car or bike battery primarily with a high current USB adapter but also have a moderate sized LiPo power pack for when on foot / backpack.
(the USB adapter is designed for vehicles and will cut off before going past the point your vehicle wont start ! )

I realise this is a late reply, but still..
I built an 8s4p pack from 18650 cells to power my charger in the field. It’s an 8s charger which is powered by a converted ATX PC PSU at home. That means the field pack requires no BMS as it is balance charged by the charger.
Using 4 high capacity (but relatively low discharge rate) 18650s in parallel for each element means the pack has about 15 full charges of my typical 5" packs (1400mAh 6s LiPo).
(A full charge implies charging a pack from stone dead to full. However, they’re kept at storage charge, and I don’t tend to fully discharge a pack in a flight either.)
