Hi all, hopefully better weather coming to NI soon!
Thought I’d reach out and see who here was local, as someone got my email address and has been asking questions about meet-ups, etc, and I didn’t know tbh. Unsure if I want to be an official ‘recognised’ organiser, and I MIGHT do that at some point to get the scene going, until then, seeing what the response is here.
On the other hand maybe there IS a meeting place etc that we just don’t know about yet

The weather seems about as consistent as my flying abilities! Does seem like the drone scene in NI could do with a bit of a boost. Only really getting into it myself now but does seem like we are missing out on having some sort of club or location people can meet semi regularly at.
Everyone online seems great, but I am always wary about meeting randoms online as you never know, and some sort of “official” club would help solve that IMO. Your last point is valid though, and I imagine/hope there are some FPV meeting places for when I eventually pluck up the courage to give that a go
