About the New Member Introductions category

Hi @1andyburton, wow - what a great gift! You are very lucky to have such great gift givers!

The FPV UK handbook (handbook.fpv.uk) would be worth reading, plus thedronemap.com as I think you mentioned.

Other than that, have fun!

Hi from Bath,

Just landed myself a new mini 5 pro, and learning a few new tricks.

Hi @shinyrobot! Welcome to Dronehub!

It’s great to have you with us!

That’s a great drone you have there!

Hi Martin here. I live in Huddersfield and I have a DJI mini 4 pro. Been playing about with cheap training drones until I bought my m4p. Lot easier to fly. Got it in October. But since then the weather usually the high winds have limited days flying. Joined the group this year and hope to find a very friendly set of folk. Will now read through some of the posts.

Hi @martinE92, welcome to FPV UK!

The guys here are certainly a friendly bunch. You’re very welcome.

The Mini 4 Pro is probably the certainly the most popular drone amongst our members. Excellent choice!

Any cool photos of Yorkshire to share?

Hello from Germany :waving_hand:
I’ve just bought a Mini 4 Pro and are looking forward to flying it.

I’m registered and insured to fly in the EU and have just registered and insured to fly in the UK as we are in the process of moving back to the UK.

I’ve had a long passion for photography and love going to airshows so it seemed natural to get a drone and use it as an aerial platform - plus the fun of actually flying.

Hi everyone, I’m a new member, returning to flying drones, making myself legal  . Live in the Midlands area, going through a few medical issues so probably will not be prolific at posting stuff, but will be interested in reading what is going on out there.

Have a great day everyone

I know your part of the country pretty well having been a regular visitor for the past 40 odd years and consider it some of the finest landscape in the world.I’d check the drone map for any restrictions like SSSI’s but I think as long as you keep away from the hotspots lke Ambleside or Bowness, large crowds won’t be much of a problem.Wastwater for instance

Got me thinking now lol I’m well jealous,I’ve not been up that way for a couple of years now and never with a drone and there’s lots of things coming to mind! Red Tarn in that natural sort of amphitheatre of Striding Edge at Helvellyn,Castlerigg Stone Circle…there’s so much! I can feel a trip coming up lol

Recent joiner here. 76 years young, living in Doncaster. I bought a Neo in the autumn and have been playing a bit in my back garden (inspecting the gutters for moss etc). I’ve since bought a Mini 4 Pro, which hasn’t been outside the house yet. A bit nervous about going out into the wild, and waiting for stable weather so I can test the limitations of my eyesight in terms of VLOS.
