Now as you can see, i live is a very restricted area and I’ve not had the time to find somewhere to set up my drone.
This is the question as I don’t want to fall foul of the law before I even start.
Can I setup calibrate and hover my drone in my garden before I go away on Wednesday or do I have to wait to be in a green zone.
I don’t want to fly it, I just want to make sure everything is working before i travel 300 miles away to find somthing isnt working right and I have to get Amazon replacement?
May seem a stupid question because the flight restrictions say no flying, but I dont want to fly it, just switch on and calibrate.
I think you already know the answer to the question, or maybe you wouldn’t be asking it.
You maybe able to do what you want, and indeed even do a short flight. IF and only IF you contact Coningsby and get permission, there may be times when there is no flying going on and they’re happy to give you the ok.
You will need a flight plan, height, distance, location, craft etc.

I thought that was the answer. I just wasn’t sure if I didn’t actually fly it just calibrate etc. If it would be classed as flying. I think my wording was a bit confusing. I am going into work tomorrow to load my coach so I will do it there. That is in a normal zone.
