Remote ID Capture

OK, so this is going to sound totally dumb, but I’m going to ask the question anyway.
What is the issue with activating you Remote ID? We already have our ID number on the top of the drone, so if someone in authority really wants to know who we are they just have to take that.
I get from watching some drone pilots on YouTube they like to, how do I word this prove a point when flying, but if we follow the drone map, follow all the rules and basically do everything right, what is the issue. I’m seeing it the same as the people who think everything should be paid for in cash because they don’t want people knowing what there upto. If you got nothing to hide, why bother hiding it. I may well be looking at this from completely the wrong angle and as a noob would be great to have more in site into this subject… TIA.

I understand why its been put in place the issue is anyone can access the information. So it can be miss used. For example your filming a castle from far but in regs etc… staff member believes they own the air space. They then can turn on the app and know exactly where your are stood and flying from and you have tried to be out of sight out of mind to not scare there feeling in my experience. Then they come over etc and start destracting you… know nothing about drone rules etc… on another hand if you flying a few grands worth of kit like i do on a farm and live there… it can show thieves where you are and if there a few they can get the drone and controller etc. I beleive the software for remote id should be licence to who can see the info eg airports, raf, police etc not just any joe blogs who wants too. Dont think safety of the pilot has been thought about as it pin points where you are in real time
