I’m Gary, I stay in Scotland, Dumfries.
I’ve not actually got my drone yet, but I’m looking into the DJI Mini 3 Combo. (Maybe get the 4 instead will see )
Now I’ve passed my CAA tests online and got all the relevant documents, but to be honest the rules are not 100% Clear to me if i’m honest.
I would just like to take videos of cool views etc and put on youtube/tiktok.
but Im being told I can’t fly it over people (In my local town center) which is never busy to be fair. I do know I can’t fly at airports MOD large crowds etc, but Is there anywhere that can clear the rules up any better?
Just makes me not want to get a drone as I don’t want to get into any trouble for a hobby I’d like to take up after working 50 hours a week to just unwind and have a bit of fun.

@TCAGaZ Hello Gary and welcome to the Drone Hub community 
Have you had a look at The Drone and Model Aircraft code on the CAA website? There you will find all the relevant information you will need as to flying your drone here is a link.
You said you would be looking at purchasing a DJI mini 3 or the Dji mini 4pro?? These particular drones would fall into the A1 category meaning you can fly over people because the drones would be less than 250g, Again you can find all this information in the Fly open category on the CAA website where i left a link for you.
As for where you can fly your drone have a look at TheDronemap.com and download it to your desired choice of platform ie phone/ Tablet or pc?? This will tell you where and where not you are permitted to fly your drone.
If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to ask 
So I would be fine to fly this drone up the local town to me, ive already checked drone map and there’s no restrictions I can see there. Is it 40-50 meters above any people I can fly im aware

You can fly closer to people than 50m,
including people who are not involved in
what you’re doing (known as uninvolved
people).
You can fly over people, including
uninvolved people.
You must also keep your drone always in VLOS
(Visual line of sight) at all times Again this will all be in the The Drone and Model aircraft Code.
That’s good to know then, although I would respect anyone who had a problem with me filming up towne tc.
