Robert has been flying drones since 2010, beginning his career as a military reconnaissance UAV pilot across Europe and the Middle East. He progressed to become a senior tactical pilot instructor, a role he held until 2021, where he trained and led operations on advanced platforms including the FLIR R60, FLIR R70, FLIR Black Hornet, as well as HDR, EOIR, and Osprey camera/drop payload systems.
Since transitioning to civilian work in the UK, Robert has applied his extensive experience to support real estate, renewable energy, offshore, and industrial projects. His portfolio includes property marketing videos, press-release footage for new vessels and milestone offshore construction events, as well as inspections and survey-related assignments.
Over the course of his career, Robert has logged more than 13,000 flight hours across a wide range of systems. He has owned and operated multiple DJI platforms—including the Phantom 4 Pro v2, Mavic Pro, Mavic 3 Pro Cine, Mini 3 Pro, Avata & Avata 2, Inspire 3, and Mavic Pro 4—while also gaining operational experience with the Autel EVO 2 and DJI M350 in offshore environments.
Robert combines deep technical expertise with a proven track record in both military and commercial UAV operations, making him highly versatile in aerial imaging, inspections, and training.
