Just to put a lid on this one, so to speak, it looks like I’ve fried the FC, so it’s ging in a box. whether or not it comes out or not is another matter. I enjoyed building this one, even though it ended as it did, I learnt a lot.
While I still don’t fully understand the intricacies of the electronics, I do feel I know a lot more than I did when I started. I will use the knowledge going forward to help with other builds. In fact it has already helped get the 10" flying.
Many thanks again to all who provided suggestions guidance etc it is and will always be appreciated!
What makes you think it’s fried @MDSteve ?
It doesn’t power on either by USB>BF or battery
Nice. Not even in bootloader mode?
If not, any possibility of shorts across the rails? When you plug it in does your computer complain about a USB device drawing too much power or anything like that?
When you plugged it in on battery, were you using a smoke stopper?
To be honest, when it stopped coming on/starting up, I just chucked it in a box and put it on the shelf. Maybe, when I have some time, I’ll look at it and see if it’s salvageable…

Hi frying one myself yesterday, remove the gps, but left wires on to make easy connecting another while waiting on deliver, due to crash dragging of the TX pad on the gps, thought I had protected the end ok, wanted to fly any way but oh know flying first pack ok, plug in second bat and smoke puff.
Looked at the board and looks like the voltage regulator is looking sad, replaceble if I can get one, cant see anything else, its an AIO 1s hd betafpv 3in1 so very very tinny.
Like my mind for not doing it right first time.
I’m glad I’m not the only one that suffers from impatience! I spent years building Computers, so drones should be a piece of cake! WRONG! How different they are!
