Hello from Walsall

Just starting out. Bought a drone for Christmas and excited to start a new hobby.

Looking for somewhere to fly around the West Midlands and do some photography.

Any suggestions welcome.

Hello and Welcome to drone Hub Chewie_bar :waving_hand:

What drone did you purchase?
Do you have a app called Drone Assist? This will tell you where and where you can not fly your drone.
Also Check to see if Landowner Permission: You must have permission from the landowner to take off and land the drone on their property. Even if you fly within UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) rules, the landowner can ask you to leave. For public fields, this means checking with the local council or authority that manages the land to see if they permit drone flights (many do not).

As you said you are just starting out i gather you haven’t flown a drone before? If you haven’t I recommend Once you do find a safe place to fly your drone just start practicing taking off and hovering at head height and landing start with the basics first and other time just keep practicing intill you are confident enough to try something else with your drone.

The drone Hub community has many members with knowledgeable information so fill free to ask any questions, And again welcome to the community :+1:
