Hi Simon. Sorry to jump on a really old post but I’ve been confused…

I’ve already registered with Alpha Tango for the EU -I have all the necessary docs/numbers.

I also registered in Cyprus a month or two ago before I went and flew over there.

This is where it gets weird for me…I think I’m doing something unnecessary

I’m off to Majorca in a few weeks and I’ve been trying to register with AESA (it’s a total pain and I’m giving up after several attempts - the process leads nowhere)

BUT

Would I be correct in thinking that the Alpha Tango registration I already have will cover me in Majorca anyway..and that I’m wasting my time with AESA?

Thank you

If you have an EU Operator ID and flyer ID, you can fly anywhere in Europe.

That being said, individual member states may also have their own additional requirements and stipulations.

What are you trying to get from AESA? Another EU Operator ID and EU flyer ID, or something else?

Thanks Simon.

I have honestly no idea what I’m trying to get from AESA to be perfectly honest
It isn’t working anyway so wanted to see if my Alpha Tango credentials covered me.

It’s an absolute minefield trying to find out what I need to do in different territories - as you’re no doubt aware.

I’m just working on the assumption that my EU numbers cover me. I registered in Cyprus as I’d read I needed to also “register in the first EU country I wanted to fly in also”. I cannot find a pathway through AESA to get any registration/insurance/ID info onto their system. I have the drone zones info for Majorca set up. I think I’m just at the stage of putting the EU numbers on the drone and going for it and crossing my fingers now. :man_shrugging:t3:
