Well would have. Found out it falls within the airport’s restricted zone so packed up and went home.
Well it looks like Ferry Meadows is a No go! As my request for permission has ben met with a wall and the usual “We don’t allow Drones in the Park” that was after being sent a form to make the request!
Never mind, I have a couple of other sites in mind I’m going to checkout over the weekend. Watch this space…

Further to my last… Apologies for the short notice, the Beer Fest is the last week of the month, they start building for this in this field V soon! Club Stickers may be available if @Simondale can get them to me in time?

I will arrive in the Car Park for 09:30 and leave around 09:45, I will be wearing a Hi-Vis vest and riding a Red Mobility scooter, which will be in the boot of my Black Volvo parked in the Disabled spaces. Please take care and park carefully as there is a Lido close by and the CP is used for that too!
I will request to see membership cards/proof of insurance before anyone can fly.
Should it become obvious that it’s not safe to continue flying, I will expect EVERYONE to comply with the request to land safely, assisting each other as necessary to avoid and issues, thanks for your understanding.
There is a large field, a river and river bank walks etc.

Unfortunately I have pre planned comitments on the 11th otherwise I’d have gladly attended.
No problem mate, it is short notice, due to the Beer fest thingy, last week of every August, they have to build the marquees etc. it’s huge!
I’ll do another one in a while, with more notice…
