What are people’s thoughts/ opinions of buying 2nd hand drones?
I’ve been thinking about getting a DJI Air 3s ( currently have basic DJI 4K ) been looking at good second hand ones with the fly more package containing the RC2 controller, these are around £750 mark with the brand new price being 1.2k. I know it is a bit of a pain to get the care package from DJI as would probably have to send it to them to be checked.
Thoughts/ opinions
DJI sells second-hand refurbished drones that look like new.
They do ? I don’t remember seeing that on their website

If you buy DJI Care Refresh from our FPV UK store, we have built a tool that can help you get your drone verified via video - no sending to them etc.
I have bought 2 of my three drones (all Dji) second hand. One with care refresh (it is attached to the drone not the owner) and one without (the avata 2 that I spectacularly crashed) so yes it is very doable.
If you go for the DJI refurb option, I can assure you they are a great saving over new, you also get a full warranty, the same as a new item.

Little update as I am pleased with it.
I just took a chance on a Dji FPV RC3 being sold as used and broken for repairs as the Throttle joystick does not return to centre.
Arrived today popped the back cover open adjusted the screws with the tool in the box as per the instructions also in the box, and tadaaa it’s not broken it has just been adjusted to full manual mode.
So not a bad deal for £60 including delivery really.
Obviously there will be some horror stories out there and some scams but some really genuine good deals on used / pre loved drones out there.
