Hi,. Hoping all are well. I have a Mini 4K. Has anyone attached an Amazon Fire 8HD (12th Generation) to the remote controller & flown successfully. I tried it today for 5 minutes & it worked but rain stopped play.
I checked with DJI to ask if there were any potential issues but they have never tested with this tablet so can’t confirm. Has anyone got suggestions?
I can’t see why it wouldn’t work. It’s an Android tablet.
Also, you said it works ![]()
Thanks Simon. It’s my lack of experience with the technology & overthinking matters, having visions of the drone waving to me as it disappears over the horizon lol.
My pleasure!
As Simon says, the Amazon Fire is an android based tablet. Albeit DJI Fly (and other DJI software) apps are obtained from the DJI website and not the Google Play store, I’d expect DJI to warn ahead of time if the device wasn’t compatible with the software before you even downloaded it. Gonna give you a decent screen as well using a tablet i’d imagine! ![]()
Well, my experiment with the Amazon Fire has come to an end. Perfect screen image indoors is very good. But, outdoors it is not good even after investing in ant-glare protector. Also, the latest DJI firmware update wouldn’t install. Reverting back to my iPhone solved these issues.
But, I do like the large screen.
Can anyone share their experience in using an iPad mainly on viewing the screen image in bright sunlight - I want a clear image on screen so I can ‘frame’ my photos & videos accurately. Thanks
