Amazon Drones Darlington

Not to sound pessimistic, but I’ll believe it when I see it. I’m sure once the test programme is finished it’ll start out unsegregated, and it’ll last long enough to get Joe Public used to getting their Amazon orders in a couple of hours.

Then, if there’s incidents the CAA will have to choose between us and millions of angry Prime users who just want to keep getting their fast drone deliveries. Public opinion wouldn’t be on our side at that point

Wires they might be able to avoid, but they do struggle with apartment buildings and cranes

I think it has happened. what I see in a drone if they take sim routs there is no human all they have to do is pull it out sky. but time will tell

Sorry, I can’t understand what you’re saying.

Anything Amazon-related is bad in my book.

I do live in the restricted area just outside of Darlington, it was originally for a week in June now its months, wonder if it becomes a thing what the long term impact would be!

Reply from the CAA:

The requirements for EC carriage and radio contact with Teesside are applicable to crewed aircraft only. Open category UA can fly in the TRA as they would normally do. Specific category UA operators must fly in accordance with their operational authorisation.
